Ah, Grandparents.


List the sounds that you hear (or remember hearing) at your grandparents’ house.

  1. Lots of birds chirping;
  2. People laughing and swimming in the pool;
  3. Silverware clinking;
  4. The buzzer on the oven (usually means cornbread!!);
  5. The lawnmower;
  6. Anyone walking upstairs (if you were in the basement);
  7. The doorbell;
  8. VIRGINIA! :-);
  9. The central vacuum system;
  10. A kitchen and dining room full of relatives;
  11. The sewing machine;
  12. The hum of the old fluorescent lights in the basement;
  13. Children running up and down the hall;
  14. Grown-ups running up and down the hall;
  15. Anyone tinkering on the piano;
  16. My grandmother singing.

Those are what I think of most. What about you?
